Adult Respite Care

Programs are offered in Summerville (Monday-Thursday) and in St. George (Tuesdays) to give family caregivers a needed break from the stress of around-the-clock caregiving. Respite programs also keep loved ones with memory problems connected to their community through fellowship, meaningful activities, and fun that enhances their independence and self esteem.

A typical respite day schedule is as follows:

10:00 a.m. – Arrive and get settled in with coffee, tea, light snacks

10:15 a.m. – News of the Day/ This day in history/Reflections/Devotion

10:30 a.m. – Humor/Share stories/Other activity TBD

11:00 a.m. – Break-time

11:15 a.m. – Music/Craft Activity

12:30 a.m. – Lunch

1:00 p.m. – Afternoon Exercise/Stretch – Brain Teaser/Stretch activities

1:30 p.m. – Activity

1:45 p.m. – Leave for home
